Frazer Fennell-Ball (born May 24, 1984) is a British second unit first assistant director. Born in Windsor, England, United Kingdom, he has built a long-running career within the UK and international film and television industry, progressing through the assistant directing ranks from floor runner and third assistant director to senior second unit leadership roles on major studio productions. Fennell-Ball began working in production in the early 2000s, initially as a floor runner on television projects including MI-5 (2002) and Dinotopia (2002). He soon transitioned into assistant directing, holding third assistant director positions on large-scale films such as Thunderbirds (2004), Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005). By the late 2000s and early 2010s, Fennell-Ball advanced to second assistant director and key second assistant director roles on a wide range of films, including Inkheart (2008), Outlaw King (2018), Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019), and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019). Fennell-Ball moved into first assistant director responsibilities in the late 2010s, particularly on second units. He served as first assistant director on Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), Fast X (2023), and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), often overseeing second-unit operations across multiple international locations. His television work includes serving as first assistant director on several episodes of the Apple TV+ series Invasion (2021). In 2025, Fennell-Ball continued working as a first assistant director on major studio releases, including The Running Man (2025), How to Train Your Dragon (2025), and Back in Action (2025).
